Shinya Akamine, President and CEO
Shinya has held executive and CEO positions in several high tech companies having worked most recently in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) space.

Currently, Shinya serves on the board of directors of both Core Security and Innotas and was a board member of LiveCapital (acquired by D&B) and Postini. Most recently, Shinya co-founded and served for five years as chief executive officer of Postini, one of the world's largest and most profitable e-mail security firms. Postini pioneered e-mail security as an on-demand service and was awarded fundamental patents covering the e-mail security managed service business model.

Previously in his career, Shinya was a consultant with McKinsey & Company and also held vice president and general management positions at Cygnus Solutions (acquired by RHAT) and other high-tech companies. Shinya is the inventor of ten patents and was honored in 2004 with an Outstanding Inventor award by Stanford University. He was previously recognized by NTT in 1994 for the best research within NTT Worldwide.

Shinya earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Charles Watson, Senior Vice President Marketing and Sales
Watson leads sales and marketing for BLUEROADS. His team is responsible for all product and go to marketing activities from product definition through to revenue, including positioning, pricing and packaging, as well as press and analyst relations, sales tools and demand generation.

With 20 years of experience leading successful sales, marketing and product teams, Charles brings a proven track record to his role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to BLUEROADS, Charles was Vice President of Americas Marketing at SSA Global (Infor), responsible for all marketing functions across North and Latin America. Prior to that, Charles directed global marketing functions at Epiphany, including corporate marketing, corporate communications and field marketing. He designed and directed the company's end-to-end lead management process and spearheaded their corporate positioning and re-branding initiatives.

Previously, he was responsible for corporate and product marketing strategy and execution at MarketFirst Software. Charles put into place a market-focused approach that led to successful solution offering developments and yielded substantial sales lead flow improvements. Charles also held executive marketing and business development positions at ELSA, Inc., and spent 10 years managing various domestic and international channel sales territories at Autodesk.

Charles received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco and is a member of both the American Marketing Association and the American Management Association.

Christine Ciandrini, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations
With a broad, multi-industry background that spans communications, IT infrastructure management, and web operations, Chris brings years of leadership to the management of BLUEROADS' Technical Operations. Chris joins BLUEROADS from Tellme Networks, Inc., where she was vice president of network operations responsible for delivery of Voice XML and automated directory assistance services to Fortune 50 enterprises and major telecommunications providers.

Prior to Tellme, Chris led the Cryptographic and Payment Gateway services operations for VeriSign as the VP of Operations. Previously, Chris was employed at Logictier, Inc., an outsourcing hosting startup, where she was senior vice president of Operations and directed the Internet Operations and Engagement Services divisions. Chris was a vice president for Citigroup in the Global Technology Infrastructure organization, managing a complex multi-vendor outsourced environment; and VP of Technology Services for Turner Broadcasting Systems where she directed the delivery of mission-critical information support services covering Web and on-air broadcast operations for domestic and international businesses. Chris began her career at Xerox Corporation, spanning ten years of management positions in service technology, corporate IT, voice/data processing and telecommunications planning and support. She holds an M.B.A. in Operations/Finance from Duke University, and a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross.

Prasanna Amerasinghe, Vice President of Software Engineering
Prasanna heads software engineering at BLUEROADS. He is responsible for Platform Architecture, Core Technology and Applications Development.

Prasanna brings over 20 years of experience leading successful engineering organizations engaged in Enterprise Software and Online-Consumer Web services. Prior to joining BLUEROADS, Prasanna led the Web R&D team at Shutterfly Inc, the premier online digital imaging company. He was responsible for managing the delivery of all products and services on the product roadmap for Shutterfly’s high volume consumer web-site during a period of critical growth leading to the company IPO in 2006.

Before joining Shutterfly, Prasanna spent nearly 7 years in various senior engineering management positions at Siebel Systems. His engagement with Siebel Systems started at an early stage of the company, with engineering and leadership responsibilities of designing and developing foundation modules of the highly successful Siebel Sales Enterprise product line delivering over $500 million in annual license revenues. His engineering team also developed the initial version of the successful Siebel eChannel Product Suite. As Director of Engineering, Prasanna also led the Siebel Order Management and Interactive Selling Suite product lines before leaving the company to pursue other opportunities in 2002.

Prior to joining Siebel, Prasanna spent over 7 years at Oracle Corporation where he started his career as an engineer and continued as an Engineering Manager in the Applications Foundation / Applications Technology Group(ATG) with responsibilities for developing the original Key and Descriptive Flexfield modules. Flexfields continue to be deployed today as a key configurable component of the Oracle Application Suite.

Prasanna holds Masters and Bachelors degrees with Honors in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Christian Borcher - Director
Christian has been with Cardinal Venture Capital since our founding in 2000. Prior to joining Cardinal, Christian was an entrepreneur in Europe and an attorney with Scandinavia's largest law firm, specializing in M&A, restructurings and equity financing. He taught contract and property law at Copenhagen University, Faculty of Law, served as Chairman of the Board of the Association of Young Lawyers, and remains admitted to the High Court of Denmark. At Cardinal, Christian focuses on Digital Media, SaaS and Mobility and he is responsible for Cardinal's investments in Zoove, BlueRoads, DivX (NASDAQ-DIVX), Razz, Inc., PlayPhone, Wireless Security Corporation (acquired by McAfee , MFE) and Sonopia. Christian received his MBA from Stanford Business School, and his Summa Cum Laude Masters and Bachelor of Law Degrees from Copenhagen University.

Tom Bevilacqua - Director
Tom co-founded ArrowPath in 1997 and is a Managing Partner of the firm. He brings over 20 years of Silicon Valley experience as an executive, general manager, investor and advisor to technology driven companies. Tom primarily focuses on investments in application and infrastructure software, including technology leveraged business and consumer services.

Tom currently serves on the Board of Active Reasoning, Innoprise, MetaLincs, Remend and RouteLogics. Prior investments and board seats include Digital Island (acquired by Cable & Wireless), Critical Path (CPTH), NetSec (acquired by MCI), Immunix (acquired by Novell), Sanera (acquired by McData), Persist (acquired by Hewlett-Packard) and Knight Trading Group (NITE).

Prior to ArrowPath, Tom served as an Executive Vice President of E*TRADE Financial. At E*TRADE, Tom held a number of operational roles and was instrumental in establishing E*TRADE's successful acquisition and investment strategies. Tom was previously a partner at two of Silicon Valley's leading law firms, where he lead practice groups targeting the needs of technology start-ups. In this role, Tom served as an advisor in over 250 public and private financings.

Tom received his B.S. in Business Administration and J.D. from the University of California.

Charles Beeler - Director
Charles Beeler joined El Dorado Ventures in December 1999 from Piper Jaffray Ventures, where he was one of three investment managers operating the Piper Jaffray Ventures Technology Funds. His early venture capital experience was at Scripps Ventures, where he helped design and implement an early-stage investment strategy for a newly formed $50 million fund. Charles focuses on investments in the communications and software sectors and currently serves on the boards of four startup companies. He received a B.A. in economics from Colby College and an M.B.A. in entrepreneurial studies from the Wharton School.
