CHANNEL ADVISORY COUNCIL

The BLUEROADS Channel Advisory Council is community of seasoned channel business and information technology leaders who work to advance the interests and discourse surrounding indirect (channel) distribution models.

The council is staffed on an 'invitation only' basis by executives from all channel disciplines who meet regularly to discuss leading channel management issues and share insights, experiences and best practices. The ultimate objective of the council is the advancement of channel effectiveness for all participants.



Michael Haines, General Manager of Microsoft Partner Strategy
Michael Haines began his professional career in the IT channel on the vendor side with 3M's office products division. His career includes working at Unisys, Inacom, and Gartner, where he spent five years as a lead analyst on sales and channel research. Michael joined Microsoft in 2005 as General Manager of US Partner Strategy, and co-chairs the ChannelLine Advisory Council and is part of its Executive Steering Committee.



Ross Brown, Former Vice President of world Wide channels of Citrix Systems
Ross Brown is a Principal at Peak Consulting and has experience as an end-user, a reseller, a distributor and a vendor. Formerly the CEO of eEye Digital Security and VP of WW Channels and Operations at Citrix Systems, Ross has worked at IBM, McAfee Systems, Tech Data and MSI Consulting.



Nick Tidd, Former Vice President of Channel Sales at 3Com
During his 15 year tenure with 3Com, he has held leadership roles including vice president of North American channel sales, vice president of worldwide sales, and vice president and managing director for the marketing, distribution and consumer business units of 3Com Canada. As vice president of worldwide sales at 3Com, Nick was responsible for managing 3Com's go-to-market channel sales strategy supporting 107,000 resellers enrolled in the company's award-winning FOCUS partner program. Nick was frequently acknowledged by VARBusiness, as one of North America's elite channel executives and honored by the magazine most recently in 2007 as one of the Top 60 Channel Executives.



Gregg Kalman, Vice President of US Channel for Meru Networks
With 23 years of sales and channel management experience, Mr. Gregg Kalman is widely recognized as a leader in crafting partner programs for high tech companies. He has worked for industry leaders including Cisco, Avaya, and most recently with Network General as Vice President of Business Development. He has held various management positions where he developed and managed numerous channel certification, incentive and marketing programs for VARs and distributors.



Tushar Kothari, SVP of Worldwide Field Operations for Meru Networks
Tushar Kothari is SVP of Worldwide Field Operations for Meru Networks. In previous roles Mr. Kothari was responsible for building world-class channel organizations for both Cisco and Juniper Networks. His contribution to channel excellence earned him a spot on Computer Reseller News' list of 2004 "Top10 Channel Ambassadors."

While with Cisco he was widely recognized for creating and developing Cisco’s channel and distribution business model and setting up the best practices, processes and management structure for the overall channel business at Cisco. Mr. Kothari has also held positions in sales and marketing with National Semiconductor and View Engineering. He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bombay University.
